Hamlin’s Restoration has spent many years exploring and perfecting a method of repairing jade that is nearly imperceptible. Matching the color of the stone is achieved primarily by using dry pigments. The reassembly of broken jade is done with a very slow setting epoxy that is mixed and weighed to exacting standards. Small pieces are sculpted and applied, cracks and fissures, sealed. We have restored every size and color of jade, from newly minted pieces from China to ancient pieces of art from all over Asia.
